Minutes—Minutes of the September meeting were read and approved.

Officer Report—There were some burglaries and auto theft this past month. APD is working on getting more officers in the area with another downtown police station at 4th and Central. Concerns were raised about drug use and prostitutes between Imperial and Days Inn, people sleeping overnight at the park and leaving garbage and drug paraphernalia in the playground, and a lot of garbage on overpass on Lead over the tracks.

A first look at Dickens 2018—Dickens will be on first Saturday in December. Ann passed around a sign-up sheet. Six people are already signed up - anticipate that about 80 people will be served. Ann needs someone to deliver flyers.

Neighborhood Sign Update—Lead and Coal locations are approved and signs will be up in about two weeks. The third sign has been more difficult with some sort of zoning problem. The latest is that the third sign can be placed on city property on Edith (not on MLK) close to Bank of the West.

Arno Block and Storehouse plans—Vince reported that the Storehouse is not moving and that has changed his plans for the block. Vince is now thinking of underground parking with apartments instead of condos (because condos are just not selling).

Lead/Coal update and plans going forward—There was a discussion about Lead and Coal, whether we want stoplights or a two way street. There was general approval for telling the city that we would like stoplights. A motion was made, seconded and affirmed to send a letter to the city saying we want stoplights.

205 Edith NE update—The owners of 205 Edith came to the meeting to talk about their plans and intentions for a commercial interior design firm at this location.

Steve Grant B&B approval—Historic B&B zoning request has been appealed. The process will start all over again.

214&214 Edith SE: Gordon—Discussion was postponed until next time

Other Business—The chicken group is closing forever. The remaining chickens are going to new homes. Kathy requested $190 for reimbursement for chicken feed.

Meeting adjourned 7:31 pm

Nextmeeting will take place 6:30pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
